After 20 Years There’s Finally A Break In The Jonbenet Ramsey Case

Back in 1996 John Kenady worked for a 26-year-old man by the name of Michael Helgoth. Now, twenty years after the brutal murder of JonBenet Ramsey, Kenady and the family’s private investigator, Ollie Gray have come forward pronouncing that Helgoth is responsible for the still unsolved crime.

JonBenet was 6-years-old when she was discovered on Christmas Day in the basement of the family’s Boulder, Colorado home. She was pronounced dead due to a smashed skull and strangulation. Before her body was found, her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey received a ransom note asking for the unusual sum of $118,000. Fearing a kidnapping, they immediately called police. In the coming years, the Ramsey’s would be considered the prime suspects until they were cleared in 2008. Unfortunately, Patsy would not live long enough to see that day. She would pass away in 2006 from ovarian cancer.

When the story broke John Kenady had already suspected Helgoth was up to something. Helgoth allegedly confided to Kenady that he, along with a partner, “were going to make a great deal…each will bring in around $50,000 or $60,000.” In another conversation Helgoth wondered out loud, “what it would be like to crack a human skull.” With many similarities to the Ramsey case Kenady is convinced Helgoth and his mystery accomplice committed the murder. Helgoth’s DNA was never found at the crime scene, and he has been cleared by police. He has since died from an apparent suicide, yet both men still maintain he is guilty.

After two decades, John Ramsey can still remember the horrifying events vividly as if they were yesterday. The unsolved case of his six-year-old daughter, JonBenet, American child beauty queen participant. Ramsey admits that "Death would've been a welcome relief from the pain and agony I felt." Newly released clips show an insight into the upcoming A&E documentary, The Killing of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered, shows JonBenet's father revealing the suffering he endured following her death.
